Adaptive Coaching Engine · ACE

You've read the book. Listened to the podcast. Built the budget. Still nothing changed. StackIt isn't another dashboard — it's one small financial action, delivered every week, adapted to you by the Adaptive Coaching Engine (ACE).

The Real Problem

It's not an information problem. It's a behavior problem.

Most people fail financially not because they lack information — but because they lack consistent action. The personal finance industry has built dashboards, analytics, and spreadsheets for two decades. Financial stress has gone up, not down.

The pattern is always the same: a motivated moment, a new app, a detailed plan, and then — life. By week four, the dashboard goes unopened. By week eight, it's uninstalled.

73%
of finance app users churn within 90 days of signup.

financially-stressed US adults aged 22–40 — the ones existing tools fail the most.
The StackIt Method

Three systems doing the work you shouldn't have to.

StackIt is built on behavioral science, not spreadsheet logic. Three systems work together to replace willpower with structure — so consistency isn't something you have to muster.

01 — Core Engine

Adaptive Coaching Engine

ACE combines your financial data with your behavioral data — what you actually did, skipped, or struggled with — to generate a weekly action plan that gets more accurate every week. Day one starts with rules-based logic. By month three, it's personalizing from hundreds of signals unique to you.

02 — Design Principle

Behavior-First Design

Every product decision prioritizes action over insight. Onboarding is a behavioral diagnostic, not a form. Your first plan is built to finish in 15 minutes and produce a visible result within a week. Progress is measured in outcomes — not sessions, not streaks, not opens.

03 — Retention Model

Failure-Adaptive Coaching

Skip an action two weeks in a row and ACE doesn't repeat it. It asks what got in the way, then surfaces a shorter, simpler version. This is the single feature no checklist, habit tracker, or budgeting app has ever built — and it's why people stay.

One Action. Weekly.

What StackIt feels like in practice.

// Every plan is generated for the specific user — the examples below are illustrative of scope, tone, and estimated impact.

Week 09 · Income

If you haven't, this is the highest-ROI action in your plan. Free money with a match. We'll walk the enrollment flow with you.

⏱ 15 min Up to 100% match
The Failure-Adaptive Loop

When life gets in the way, ACE adapts.

Miss a week? ACE doesn't guilt you. It asks what got in the way — time, confusion, anxiety, a cash crunch — and rewrites next week's plan around the real answer.

Every skip is a signal. Every completion is data. The coaching gets smarter about you every single week — something no static plan or generic app can do.

  • Opt-in payroll integration for the highest-impact actions (401k, HSA, direct deposit splits)

Frequently asked

Answers for the skeptics. (We like skeptics.)

Is StackIt a budgeting app? +
No — and this is deliberate. Budgets are prescriptive; StackIt is adaptive. Budgets assume you already have the willpower to follow them. StackIt is built for people who don't, by giving you one specific action per week — then adjusting when you skip.
Do I need to connect my bank? +
No. The core product works with self-reported data so you can start without sharing anything sensitive. Premium users can optionally connect accounts through Plaid to let ACE personalize faster — it's never required.
What happens if I miss a week — or ten? +
That's literally what ACE is built for. Miss two weeks of the same action and it stops pushing it. You'll get a shorter version or something different entirely — and a quick prompt asking what got in the way, so the next plan is built around the real answer.
When does the product launch? +
The full product is in late-stage development. The 30-Day Challenge launches first as a manual concierge experience — and waitlist members get first access. We run StackIt in cohorts because adaptive coaching works better with a community around it.
Who's behind StackIt? +
StackIt Financial, Inc. — a Delaware C-Corp founded in 2025. We're a small, bootstrapped team working with behavioral economists and financial wellness practitioners. No ads. No affiliate revenue. No selling your data. We exist because our subscribers stay.
